In this manual page we will highlight the recommended settings live video streaming according to:
Note: Please remember there is no best setting that we can recommend, as this is highly content dependent.
Recommended bandwidth
To broadcast through Streaming platform we recommend using a wired connection with an upload bandwidth of at least 700Kbps. Your upload bandwidth must be greater than your stream’s total bit-rate. It is recommended that your upload speed be at least 50% greater than the bit-rate of your broadcast.
Many times what appears to be a great connection is somewhat less in the real world. If you see connection drops, reduce the published bit-rate to a lower value.
Lighting
Lighting is very important. Make sure you are well lit from the front (that is, the light should shine at you from behind the camera).

Pre-defined Web broadcaster settings
High quality
Set the video and audio quality to maximum to broadcast a top quality live show. Note that you will need greater than 800kbps upstream bandwidth to use this setting and viewers on lower bandwidth connections may have issues viewing high quality.
Medium quality
Medium quality enables you to broadcast to a maximum number of viewers with good image and audio quality.
Low quality
Set the video and audio quality to low if you have a lower internet speed connection or wish to broadcast to people with a slower internet speeds. It will lower the resources required to watch your broadcast.
Important: do not change the video source during a broadcast that is recorded (autorecord or DVR), unexpected results and even corrupted videos may be experienced.
